Jon_Lantz2Jon has been involved in the hospitality industry for over twenty-five years. Areas of expertise include acquisitions and disposition of hotel properties, financial analysis, evaluation studies, management and franchise contract negotiations. He brings these strong development and advisory skills to the team.

 

Jon spent ten years with PKF Consulting in Canada and the U.S. During that time he was responsible for market research and feasibility reports in almost every major city in North America. He co-managed the Canadian practice where he directed a staff of highly trained hotel analysts.

 

Prior to entering the hotel brokerage field Jon spent five years with a major Canadian development company. As President, he was responsible for sourcing, analyzing and completing purchase transactions for ten hotels from Alberta to Nova Scotia. These were structured as Limited Partnerships that included the acquisition of nine existing hotels and one new build in Sydney, Nova Scotia. He also launched a new budget chain in Canada.

 

A licensed real estate broker, Jon has been involved in over $300 million in hotel real estate transactions across Canada. These included large corporate hotels in major cities to some of Ontario’s finest resorts.

 

He also managed the hotel brokerage division of CB Richard Ellis for Canada for five years. After CBRE, he launched the Toronto office of HVS International the world’s largest feasibility firm and set up the brokerage arm for that firm.

 

For the past five years Jon has been President of PKF Hotel Realty Inc.
